I paint realism, mostly wet-in-wet technique. I paint realism because, well…I am a realist. But I also paint realism because we can remember an experience, a real life experience or an emotion, that soothes us, soothes our mind: reminds us of life changing experiences, where we came from.

Life changing for the better. That is what art does. No matter the reason one creates art there is a common thread in all art. Art elicits a response. Beginning with “yeah, that’s nice…” to “WTF…I don’t get it…” to a response of “Eh…”.

My hope is that when you see one of my paintings you are reminded of an experience or an emotion that brings you peace of mind…(or at the least a subtle “…eh…”)
